Solutions That RockWe want to invite everyone to join Draper and Christie Digital at the “Solutions That Rock” 2012 Tour Preview in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 13, 14, and 15. Randy Reece, our AV Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest, and manager of our West Coast sales office, has organized our participation. I asked him to share the whole story with you.

In the summer of 2010 Bryan Boehme, Christie Digital’s Western Regional Sales Manager for Business Products, contacted me to discuss providing projection screens for a “Solutions That Rock” tour they had planned for the Fall of 2010, and continuing into 2011. The event was to be a showcase of Christie products, and would in turn, allow Draper to showcase a great new line of modular folding screens – the StageScreen, in addition to other Draper products.

StageScreen

Solutions That Rock is an event that allows architects, consultants and end users, as well as dealers to be immersed in hands-on learning in an intimate environment where they can learn more about the latest display technologies. Partnering Christie and Draper products for these events was a natural fit, as both Draper and Christie offer a forward thinking attitude in product innovation.

The StageScreen, in particular, was perfect for “Solutions That Rock” because it offered both a substantial screen and flexibility to change sizes from location to location as required. It would also allow a screen to be viewed in the traditional landscape orientation or it could easily be turned into a portrait orientation to highlight some of Christie’s new ideas. The StageScreen can also be used with either front or rear projection depending on the event requirement.

With the assistance of Jim Hoodlebrink, Draper’s Rental Products Manager, Draper provided several StageScreen sizes as well as some of the Traveller models that were perfect for the smaller displays of up to 80” wide image.

The Traveller

The 2012 season is gearing up with the first, sneak-peek event scheduled for December 13th – 15th 2011 in Scottsdale AZ. This year’s tour will feature a 30’ wide StageScreen that uses the same modular parts that were used for screens in last year’s tour event.Solutions That Rock

Draper will be offering an AIA Continuing Education presentation for the events this year. The program is titled Projection Screens 101, and provides 1 CE credit. For the exact time of the AIA CE program check your local event schedule, or contact Draper. Additional information regarding the AIA program, and other programs Draper offers, please see the link listed below.

Everyone is excited about the “tour” this year so don’t miss out on the opportunity to view the latest innovations in display technology!

See you there!
