19th InfoComm and Counting

New Folding Screen Case

Draper's New Folding Screen Case

It was a fun week at InfoComm this year–my 19th year to attend the show. With so many new Draper products, there was always something to talk about. For our portable screens the new hit is our brand new folding screen cases. We updated our two largest cases. Now they easily fit the StageScreen® and Cinefold Truss in the large case and the FocalPoint® and certain sizes of the UFS in the smaller case. We still have the original, slightly smaller case. It will stay the same and accommodates the majority of UFS and Cinefold products.

The new cases addressed many concerns we have heard about our old cases–particularly when used for large screens. The new cases allow you to temporarily stand it on end and the stack-ability is solid! We added a wider handle for a two handed grip when needed. We added Velcro straps making it faster to open and close so there are  no worries about breaking a clip. The wider base means less tipping when loaded. All in all, these cases are a great new addition to our portable screen line of products.

They can even hold golf clubs!

About Jim Hoodlebrink

Hello! I am in product management for Draper, currently focusing on AV Rental products. I support our sales force and our customers with information about Draper's wide range of portable products.

It seems to me our best products and ideas come from listening to our customers, so I hope this blog can not only interest you but also spur some great conversation.

My background includes an education from Indiana University (I hope the basketball team improves soon) and 18 years of experience in the industry. I have held various positions within Draper starting as a Regional Manager with an eventual transition into Product Management. I love sports and outdoor activities and occasionally sneak in some Xbox with my kids. I continue to keep up with my CTS certification and enjoy working for Draper and being a part of this industry.

I look forward to posting to this blog and sharing my experience and conversations with you. I welcome your interest and comments.
