Draper Introduces New VTC Lift

Video Conferencing Camera Lift

Video Conferencing Camera Lift

Draper's Video Conferencing Camera Lift/Screen Combination, seen from the end. The front (right) case houses the projection screen, while the rear (left) case houses the lift.

We had something of a sleeper hit at InfoComm. We showed two options for mounting a video conferencing camera–both custom products at this time–and both were really well received. You won’t find this on our website yet!

First, our projection screen/VTC lift combo. It isn’t the first on the market. But ours is better…hands down. And it’s very different. Our VTC lift is in a separate housing from the screen. It lowers the VTC to just below the screen surface. This allows you to choose any screen to fit your environment – tensioned or non-tensioned with one of our great new surfaces. It means that an existing screen can be retrofitted for VTC if there is enough room behind it for the camera. The lift and screen can be operated independently, together, or both using standard low voltage controls. The lift uses a screen housing and components that installers are familiar with – like a tubular motor, case with integral grim flange, and adjustable mounting brackets. It will fit various camera models and work with virtually any screen size. The overall height and depth of the unit including the screen is actually smaller than competitive models. You would think with all these benefits, that our product would be more expensive. But that is not the case. All these positive features at a reasonable cost. It doesn’t get much better than that. Call us for pricing and drawings.

Video Conferencing Camera Shelf

The AeroLift was also shown at InfoComm with a Video Conferencing Camera Shelf, for positioning a VTC just above the projection screen surface or flatscreen panel.

On the other hand, if you need to set the VTC above a screen or flatscreen panel, we have a solution for that as well. Our compact AeroLift 25 can be fitted with a shelf to position the camera in just the right location.
