Draper’s Regional Sales Manager for California, Randy Reece, can be excused if he popped a few buttons off of his shirt in recent weeks. Reece’s youngest son,

Trent, recently graduated from the United States Army Military Academy at West Point. If that in itself doesn’t impress, perhaps this will: Trent was an Honor Graduate, which means he graduated in the top 40 of his class of about 1,100. As such, he received his diploma from U.S. President Barack Obama.

No wonder Randy is proud!

Last year Trent was recognized as one of 14 “incredibly impressive” students at West Point (see an earlier Draper blog post about that here: https://blog.draperinc.com/2013/11/trent-reece-at-west-point/). Trent also received a silver platter and an official commendation from the behavioral sciences and leadership branch of the academy.

In an article about the graduation—published by the New Castle, Indiana, Courier-Times, Randy said this about the experience of

watching his son graduate from West Point:

“As far as best memory of the week, I would say listening to Trent and four of his friends sit around and share some memories when we had them over for dinner one evening, and their sense of accomplishment. They really do become like brothers having gone through the struggles they all have together. The thing about both of our kids’ education that I have always been impressed with is how serious they both take it. Yes, they had great teachers along the way and a mom that was totally committed to them and willing to do anything at any time to help them both, but they still had to do it.”

Once again it is our honor to congratulate Trent on his outstanding efforts at West Point, and to join Randy in being proud of those achievements. You can read the entire Courier-Times article here: .
