The first of the month, Draper joined many other vendors at the WFX show in Dallas. For those of you who don’t know about WFX, is a national conference and expo for church leaders to find ideas, methods, and products to help grow their ministries.WFX

The theme for the 2014 expo was “Move Your Church Forward,” and with that in mind Draper’s Chad Tabor (CTS, CSI) and Brian Kunz (LEED®AP, CTS) headed to Dallas to work the Draper booth. Chad and Brian are Regional Sales Managers for Draper—Chad’s territory is Texas, while Brian covers the Midwest/Great Lakes region.

During the show Chad and Brian talked with many dealers, architects, and people in ministry about how Draper products fit in the Houses of Worship market.

“From a manufacturer’s perspective, there was a very nice mix of end users, consultants, architects, and contractors at the show,” according to Brian. “There was a wide assortment of products at the show which would appeal to all functional areas of a House of Worship.”

Draper’s own offering is a microcosm of that same product diversity Brian mentioned. During the show, attendees learned about Draper’s projection screens, projector and flatscreen lifts, videoconferencing solutions, window shades, and gymnasium equipment.

Contest winner Mal McCawley, from Bentonville, Arkansas, Church of the Nazarene.

Although all of Draper’s products were well-received, there was particular interest in larger venue screens, such as our StageScreen and Lace & Grommet. Chad and Brian also report receiving a number of questions about TecVision: Engineered Screen Technology, introduced by Draper earlier this year.

Draper also participated in a special promotion with one of our dealers, Shepherd Multimedia of Grapevine, Texas. Draper and Shepherd combined to give away a projector and screen to one lucky visitor to the Draper booth. The winner was Mal McCawley, the Minister of Worship at the Bentonville, Arkansas, Church of the Nazarene. Mal wins a Draper projection screen of his choice, valued up to $5,000 MSRP, as well as the projector of his choice, valued up to $2,000 MSRP, from Shepherd MultiMedia. In addition, Shepherd MultiMedia will provide a free on-site consultation (travel expense not included).

Apparently, the contest win came at a good time for Mal. Bentonville Nazarene is planning to renovate their gym into a worship space, and he was at WFX checking out AV solutions for the project.

Congratulations, Mal!
