Todd Garner (CSI, IIDA) often seems to be at the center of a joke or a prank, but that belies his competitive nature. Todd is our Contract Regional Sales Manager for New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. One of our marketing people remembers one of the first times he saw Todd: Todd was on the gym floor wrestling with another Draper employee in the middle of a basketball game. It was good-natured, but the result of a foul; the mists of time have clouded whether it was a charge or a block. Todd is the vice president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Construction Specifiers Institute.

Todd_Golf_2How did you come to be working at Draper?
Being from the area, I had known about Draper my entire life. I have had a few family members work at Draper over the years. I moved back to the area and contacted John Pidgeon and Bob Mathes. Then the interview process began. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work for a great family-owned company.

What do you like best about your job?
Working with many great people both in the office and the plant towards one common goal. I enjoy building relationships with my customers and Architects. The industry is very competitive, I enjoy the battle.

What are some of your funniest moments at Draper?
Todd_G There have been many pranks over the years. One time we had a couple of summer interns in our Engineering Department. They knew I used two fingers when using my keyboard. They switched my keys around on my keyboard. Yes, it was difficult logging in the next morning.

Another time, someone put HOT Pepper on the earpiece of my phone. Yes, it was bothersome. I had no idea what was going on except: My ear was HOT!!!

There have been many others in my 16-and-a-half years here at Draper.

What do you like to do in your time away from Draper?
