Draper will be demonstrating TecVision at InfoComm Connections..

InfoComm Connections is a two day event for those who didn’t have the time or budget to attend the annual InfoComm show in Orlando or Las Vegas. We’ll be giving those folks the opportunity to see a condensed version of our annual InfoComm booth setup, and more.

One thing we’ll be keying on is selecting the right viewing surface for ambient light conditions. We will be conducting comparisons between TecVision MS1000X Grey—an Ambient Light Rejecting projection surface—and a standard Matt White. Obviously, white screens aren’t a good choice for rooms with ambient light conditions; they’re very diffusive and spread light in a very wide pattern. They do this with both projection light and room ambient light, so both types of light then compete at the viewer’s eyes. Draper’s TecVision MS1000X improves contrast and, because it is more angular reflective, it reflects off-axis ambient light away at the same angle as it is hitting the surface, essentially bouncing it away from the audience. Our live demonstrations will show how this works.

We’ll also be showing off our in-house printing capabilities for the production of videoconferencing backdrops and more. Our printers digitally produce high quality images with incredibly sharp detail. The use of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) inks allows for brilliant and vibrant color reproduction throughout a wide color gamut. Water based latex Inks we use are UL ECOLOGO Certified, and GREENGUARD GOLD Certified to standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air, and can be used on several GREENGUARD Gold certified fabrics. They are odorless and require no special ventilation. In addition, all of our printing supplies are recyclable, and 70% of the weight of the used ink cartridge is a recyclable cardboard container.
