We’re counting down the final weeks leading up to the 2017 CEDIA Expo. In less than a month we will have lots to show you, and we’re more excited than ever!

Here are just a few of the highlights you won’t want to miss:

In-booth giveaways
When you visit the Draper CEDIA booth #4429 this year, if you get scanned, you’ll have a chance to win an Amazon Echo. We’re also giving visitors a coupon good for a free LED light kit for the Profile+, with the purchase of a Profile+.

A Sneak Peek at our Rebranding Efforts
CEDIA is our first opportunity to show off our corporate rebranding in this channel. It is part of an overall initiative to clarify Draper’s mission, and includes a new logo and tagline, a new look in signage and trade show presence, and a versatile and robust website.

Our new look created a lot of buzz at InfoComm earlier this summer, and we’re sure you’ll love it as well.

Our New FlexShade® Recharge Battery-Powered Window Shade
Why are we giving away an Amazon Echo?  Because you can control our FlexShade Recharge using it, and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing on the floor. No wiring is necessary with the Recharge. It’s battery powered … and rechargable! The Recharge installs like a manual shade. The batteries last longer and are more powerful than those in other systems, and with no external battery wand, extra space isn’t required for the batteries. With long-lasting charges, the FlexShade Recharge battery is hidden safely inside the roller tube and can be recharged from a 110V outlet or an optional solar panel. The Recharge fits easily into any control scenario. For quick and simple operation, there’s a touch-sensitive remote control, or a flush-mount wall switch. For more flexibility, integrate Recharge with popular control systems. FlexShade Recharge also features several accessories, including a maintenance charger, solar panel for battery motors and cable extenders. And, the FlexShade Recharge app can control or program the shades. Since the motor has bi-directional communication, the app even knows when it’s time to charge the battery.

A New Ambient-Light Rejecting Screen
We’ll also be showing you how it looks when a projection screen rejects 80% of ambient light. TecVision CH1200X ALR is ideal for environments with high ambient lighting. The higher 1.2 gain grey will help brighten the image in sizes up to 67 feet wide. Just like the rest of Draper’s TecVision line, CH1200X ALR is 8K-ready and Imaging Science Foundation-certified for color accuracy, so users won’t notice the blue or red  tints present in images on many other ambient light rejecting screens. In addition, the CH1200X ALR is available as a Nanoperf surface for acoustical transparency.

Exclusive Training Classes
Draper’s Amy Madden will also be leading two CEDIA training classes:

  • “How to Control Natural Light Using Window Shades” will help you understand how to use performance, aesthetics, and a blend of both to choose window shades based on the desired outcome.
  • “Projection Screen Science Made Simple,” takes you on a deep dive into the world of modern projection screen technology. During this session we’ll review the different types of screen surfaces, how to use an online projection planner to meet relevant standards for every installation, including the new CEDIA CEA CEB23, demonstrate different screen surfaces, and work through real-world sample problems.

Both sessions will take place Wednesday, September 6 in room 28 D. Use code DRAPER 17 for a free pass—then register!

To see these great products, and for a chance to win an Amazon Echo, be sure to stop by booth 4229 at CEDIA 2017, September 7-9 in San Diego.
