Why, you may ask is the Winter Solstice my favorite day of the year? After all, it is the day of the year with the least amount of sunlight, many people are depressed because of this. Me, on the other hand, I am excited. I am excited because it’s all uphill from here. After December 22 we begin to get more daylight each day.
Another thing to keep in mind during the winter solstice is the performance of your solar shades. You may have noticed that the sun is now at its lowest point in the sky and in more of a direct line with your windows. You may be second guessing that fabric selection that you made back in June. But never fear, each day from now on the sun will reach a slightly higher point until before you know it, we are at the summer solstice in June.
If you have questions about the winter or summer solstice and how it affects your shade performance, give us a shout!
Thanks for reminding us. Almost forgot there is a sun out there.
Yesterday it was up 08:43 and gone again 15:31, for a total of 6h and 48 min.
If it just hadn’t been cloudy…. :)
But as you so kindly pointed out – it just gets better from here!!!! :D
