You may remember that Nancy Vickery was the winner of our Walk to Hawaii contest last year. Nancy was one of 159 Draper employees who qualified for a drawing for a trip for two to Hawaii by walking at least 2,400,000 steps between April 1, 2012 and March 1, 2013. Nancy’s winning number was drawn at Draper’s Annual Employee Meeting last March.
On February 22 Nancy and her daughter Lesa boarded a flight in Indianapolis to begin their trip to Maui. Thirteen hours later they checked into the Kaanapali Beach Club Hotel.
“It was a great vacation,” Nancy said. “This was the first time Lesa and I had ever gotten to travel together.” Highlights of their week included whale watching, a trip around the island with stops at the old whaling port of Lahaina and Charles Lindbergh’s grave, and a luau, as well as lots of time on the beach, great meals at the beach club and gorgeous sunsets.
Nancy and Lesa returned home March 2 with souvenirs for their kids, some jewelry for themselves and a lot of fond memories. Here are some snapshots they have shared with us.
