Last year a Twitter phenomenon swept through InfoComm like the common cold through a first grade classroom. Except the #avselfie didn’t make (most) people sick; it was an uplifting, community-building experience. The brainchild of the gang over at AVNation, the #avselfie trend caused hundreds of InfoComm attendees to whip out their phones and take selfies during the show. Many of those photos, tagged #avselfie on Twitter, ended up in a music video which was premiered on the show’s last day. Already this year, it is the third highest trending hashtag related to InfoComm.
Some of us at Draper participated in the #avselfie, so when it was announced that #avselfie would be returning to #InfoComm15, we wondered how we might capitalize on the trend, and have a little fun.
Thus was born the #DraperPro #avselfie contest.
