Last Wednesday at InfoComm 2017, the AV world got a first look at our rebranding efforts. And, if the feedback we received at the show is any indication, Draper has hit a home run with our new look and new focus.

Here are just a few comments we heard from visitors and our own people about the new booth, new logo, and overall re-branding efforts:

“Love the new look!”

“Fresh new look! Love the skyline, font treatment, and tag line. Clever, clear, creative.”

“We made a couple of stops at some other booths and we heard a lot of praise on the new look and branding. It was noticed.”

“Had nothing but positive comments about the booth design and the new logo. There were a couple of questions about why we changed the logo but after a simple explanation of how we are evolving as a company they seemed to understand it and appreciate it.”

“The logo was received with very high regard.  Most people liked it and like the directional story that goes along with it. ”

“When the re-brand comes with color coded drinks!!! Way too cool.”

It was awesome to hear such positive feedback from customers, employees, and just passersby!

In addition to the new look, of course, we took a lot of new products to InfoComm. Although all of our new products we well received, the FlexShade Recharge battery powered shade and our newest ambient light-rejecting viewing surface, TecVision CH1200X ALR, did particularly well. The Recharge received a CI Best InfoComm award from Commercial Integrator Magazine. TecVision CH1200X ALR, meanwhile, received a Best of Show award from AV Technology Magazine, and was named one of InfoComm’s 50 “Hot Products” by the InfoComm Show Daily.

We also received a lot of attention from our products seen in several locations around the show floor.

We provided two large screens, one of them curved, for the NEC booth. Our projection screen embedded in their booth floor created quite a buzz.

Scalable Display Technologies used a large Draper curved screen to showcase their blending capacity in a multi-megapixel display. This, and the huge 70’ wide screen hanging above the food booths in the rest area called The Park had people talking about our ability to develop screen solutions for any scenario.

Color-coded drinks were served as we toasted 115 years in business.

A special project we undertook for LED Panel manufacturer Absen, however, opened perhaps the most eyes to Draper’s capabilities to develop custom solutions. Draper built a custom bezel to frame their video wall. The folks in the Absen booth had this to say: “Thanks so much for the beautiful custom bezel work! You made our #LED panels look extra special.”

All in all, this was the most successful InfoComm in some time. Total show attendance was a record 44,077. We had plenty of booth traffic, lots of positive buzz, and many new friends to talk to. Stay tuned as we continue to explore new opportunities and work on finishing our new website for release in early 2018!
