Sometimes a pre-existing solution just won’t fit the audiovisual need. The demand for custom solutions has been made abundantly clear to us since we introduced our custom audiovisual solutions initiative at InfoComm in June.
Industry acceptance of our new initiative has exceeded expectations as we’ve developed partnerships with several top-tier AV manufacturers. Growth in this area has been phenomenal.
Over the coming months we’ll be highlighting these partnerships, starting with NEC Display Solutions.
NEC was one of our first strategic partners. It was less than a year ago that we had our first immersion in what would become custom AV solutions, when another mount and structure provider pulled out of the NEC Partner Showcase at the last minute and Draper was asked to fill the gap.
You can read all about that here.
Following InfoComm, we partnered with NEC to introduce our initiative for a custom architectural audiovisual experience at A’18. We showcased tailored digital architectural element solutions that interface buildings, workspaces, and technology with a stunning direct view LED/operable shade concept. Venetian blinds partner Warema joined NEC and Draper to co-develop this one-off display that generated a lot of attention.
“Draper has been proactively supporting the NEC team for many years. There is routine collaboration as we constantly fine-tune our process and solutions to address changes with their products and shifts in the market,” said Kevin Barlow, Draper director of business development. We have an effective strategic partnership incorporating our core products with custom AV solutions.”
“NEC’s partnership with Draper has exceeded all expectations,” said Grant Wylie, senior product manager for NEC Display Solutions. “Collaborating with Draper’s PJM and Engineering team feels like an extension to NEC’s own internal design team with free-flowing information back and forth. Without the kind of collaboration Draper has provided, we wouldn’t have the success we are having today.”
Next week, NEC will hold its 25th Partner Showcase in New York, and we’ll be there once again. This year, we will be exhibiting our custom mounting solution for NEC’s Indoor/Outdoor dvLED video wall, utilizing the latest F-Series and Q-Series panels. We are introducing three custom mounting solutions for these panels for framed, frameless, and recessed installation.
We aren’t forgetting projection screens, though. We will have three Profile+ screens with ambient light rejecting TecVision XH900X ALR surfaces on display.
