What was the best thing about your 2018? And what are your hopes for the new year?
2018 was Draper’s best year ever, and today we begin the new year expecting to be able to say the same thing about 2019 when it is over.
We’ve already shared some of our highlights from 2018, so today we’re starting 2019 with a look ahead.
Here are a few things you can expect from Draper in 2019:
More innovation.
In the next couple of months, price lists for two of our major product areas—window shades and projection screens—will be released. You can expect to find several products appearing there for the first time and, while we can’t say anything yet, we are excited to share details as soon as we can.
The opportunities for custom solutions in both AV and solar control are continuing to expand, and we are constantly using these projects to innovate in other areas. Many of the innovations originally developed for custom jobs are being brought in to our standard product offerings.
More partnerships.
Over the past couple of years Draper has developed some great partnerships with industry leaders like:
- NEC
- Leyard® & Planar
- Sony
- Mitsubishi
- Barco
- Christie
- LG
- Absen
- D3
Our experiences have shown us how such partnerships enable us to create solutions the market needs in a timely manner. We don’t have to wonder at the beginning of development if what we’re designing is needed. We already know.
Short and accurate lead times.
We’ve made a great deal of progress over the past year in lowering our lead times. Whether we’re talking about gym equipment, window shades, projection screens, or AV mounts, we’ve worked hard to hone our processes. We now are among the industry leaders in all our product areas and you can expect that to continue in 2019.
Additional resources.
A key piece of the Draper experience is having the tools to make your job easier. This year you’ll find Draper information in new places such as BIMSmith. We’re also adding more than a dozen building information model (BIM) files and updating several existing models.
We’re also adding to our photo and documentation libraries and bringing you more stories about Draper solutions in the real world.
