Attendance numbers were reportedly down for Integrated Systems Europe 2020 due to the coronavirus, but you couldn’t tell it from traffic at the stand shared by Draper and our subsidiaries Smart Media Solutions (SMS) and Evoko.

Our stand was packed throughout, and the show was deemed a great success by Draper staff attending ISE in Amsterdam.

Draper went into ISE 2020 with two main goals: to meet with current AV mounts and structures partners and to share some new products that demonstrate the range of solutions we can offer.

Meeting our partners.
Meeting with strategic display partners not only helped maintain and grow those relationships, it also helped open doors for SMS with European opportunities. Those networking sessions went very well. Our team approach of collaborating on design with SMS while we each make those products available in our own markets was viewed as a strong benefit—one that many competitors don’t offer.

Grant Wylie, director of product management – AV structures & solutions, explains the concept behind the Draper Mount Interface for Barco UniSee.

Demonstrating new products.
Making installation as easy as possible was a key ingredient in the solutions in our stand. In keeping with our approach to emphasize partnerships, we demonstrated new products where design and development were led by both Draper and SMS.

The Draper® Mount Interface for Barco UniSee® eliminates inconsistencies in wall surfaces that are not truly flat, while universal attachment brackets simplify installation on nearly all wall construction types. It can be installed by one person, saving time and money, and attachment of the panels is equally simple. The UniSee wall crosses mount directly to the structure, and its modular nature means there are no size constraints.

This new floor stand will be introduced in North America this Spring.

We also previewed an SMS-designed product that tackles the uneven wall issue from another direction—the floor.

By mounting to the floor instead of the wall, this new LED mount makes installation faster and easier. It also means the mount is ADA compliant. Despite its sleek, shallow design, it gives you the ability to store equipment such as processors and content source.

It’s designed to look great and blend into any installation situation. It’s not just a video wall, it’s a piece of furniture which fits in with your interior design scheme.

The floor mount works with any 24-inch wide 16:9 LED panel and is ideal for both corporate and residential applications. A number of finishes will be available when the product begins shipping in North America this spring.

Ease of use and scalability are behind the Evoko Naso which was also unveiled at the show. The Naso is a stand-alone room booking system with an intuitive interface built in function including broken equipment reporting, room search, and room use analytics. It also offers three tiers of additional functionality, from room services up to AI-driven personalized services for guest and visitor administration.

Draper and SMS shared space with Evoko, whose conferencing and room booking solutions were a popular stop for ISE attendees.

Response to all of the solutions on display by the Draper family of companies was overwhelmingly positive.

‘’Meeting the needs of our customers is always our main objective. That’s why we were thrilled about all the excitement our latest products garnered,” said Daniel Salomonsson, product and development manager for SMS. “We’ve put a lot of effort into developing the Evoko Naso and the latest SMS products, and the reception we received was even better than we could’ve imagined.’’
