Recent innovations by Draper in AV mounts and structures (AVMS) and projection screen technology are gaining momentum in the AV industry. That’s one of the takeaways from InfoComm 2021, which took place last week in Orlando.
Fewer people = more quality time.
Although COVID-related cancellations meant about a third of the usual number of exhibitors, and a similar percentage of attendees, there was a marked improvement in the quality and nature of conversations. People were less concerned about keeping an eye on the time and more interested in focusing on understanding our variety of AV solutions.
Laying a firm Foundation®.
People actively sought out Draper to discuss our AV mounts and structures (AVMS). Gone were the days of hearing, “I didn’t know you did that,” thanks to positive reviews and feedback in the industry. Instead, the talk was about how well-liked our AVMS initiative is, especially for direct view LED.
And what’s not to like? The Foundation mount system for dvLED was conceived, designed, and built from the ground up with a laser focus on the needs of the installer. Precision manufacturing combines with dual X-Y-Z adjustments to create a flawless installation for any LED brand in less time and with fewer resources.
Then there’s our tailored solutions. The Draper design team continues to impress with unique solutions that combine strength, durability, practicality, and elegance. To top it all off, our in-house project management team received rave reviews for open communication, attention to detail, and overall hustle to get the job done.
Showing great Acumen®.
You need a motorized projection screen. What you either don’t want or can’t do is run electrical wiring. Enter the Acumen Recharge, a battery-powered screen that mounts like a manual unit. Not only is it rechargeable; the battery lasts longer between charges—up to 500 cycles.
If you prefer to never have to recharge the battery, it’s simple to keep the motor constantly charged via PoE (power over ethernet), using an adapter and cat-5 cable.
The Acumen Recharge was well-received, winning a “Best of Show” award from AV Technology Magazine!
Integrating window shades.
The Draper@Home collection of window shades received a great deal of interest as commercial integrators look to integrate shades into their projects.
First introduced in September at the CEDIA Expo, Draper@Home is powered by Somfy to provide comfort, environmental and glare control and protect furniture, carpets, and other items from fading. Indoor and outdoor shades integrate into the smart buildings of tomorrow for voice, app, and third-party control.
