Often in the Custom Install (CI) industry we make assumptions based on how things usually work, or how we think something makes sense. And nearly as often we find those assumptions are not correct, and the truth doesn’t seem to make much sense. A case in point: ordering window shades vs. ordering projection screens.
Residential AV integrators have years of experience quoting and ordering projection screens. In recent years a lot of those dealers have decided to add motorized and automated shades to their product offerings and discovered there are differences in which a couple of key specifications are communicated: Dimensions and fabric/viewing surface roll.
