Trade shows are always a great way to see how we keep up with various markets, reconnect with acquaintances, and learn about new technologies. CEDIA 2024 was no exception, as the custom integration industry gathered in Denver to celebrate and evangelize smart home technology and the future of the connected home.
Our indoor booth was kept quite busy as integrators from around the world stopped by for product updates and remained to take turns playing an F1 2023 video game for a chance to win a $3500 racing simulation package. You can still enter – here’s how).

Our product designers are on fire.
It’s always nice to win an award. Even better to win two. But our products brought home 6 awards!
The new StyleLine fixed projection screen received 4 awards:

- Residential Systems / Future Best of Show
- rAVe / Best New Projection Screen
The StyleLine was also named a CEDIA 2024 “Hot Product” by the CEDIA Daily show magazine.
In addition, our new FlexStyle Cassette shade and refreshed TecVision Performance Viewing Technology were also recognized by Technology Designer Magazine’s Performance Home Awards!
People continue connecting indoors and outdoors.
For the second consecutive year, Draper At Home had two booths: 1 indoors and 1 outdoors. This year we continued to see an increase in integrators interested in both, as homeowners want more comfortable outdoor living and entertaining spaces. But people are also looking for ways to connect indoor and outdoor spaces through design, controls, and structural flow. Our ability to pair Draper At Home outdoor solutions with whole home smart controls is very appealing.
Both multi-purpose rooms and home theatres are popular.
For many years, CEDIA was all about home theatres. Then multi-purpose rooms became popular, allowing homeowners to enjoy sports and entertainment along with other activities in a more open area. Now both options are fairly popular, as a movie theatre-style experience and a family/guest-oriented space are both finding value. And whichever options suits you best, Draper At Home has the projection screen surface to provide the best experience!
People want homes that help them stay healthy.
This year at CEDIA one could hear more people discussing things like circadian rhythms and natural lighting. Automated roller shades have a major role to play in controlling natural light and preserving view-through. But we’re also part of the overall healthy home conversation. Through the use of fabrics that have limited ingredients, or do not off-gas volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere, Draper At Home shades provide a healthy peace of mind.

When we started talking about roller shades and outdoor living spaces, of course, the conversation was very new. The same could be said for certifications like UL GREENGUARD in residential spaces. Or wiring homes so they are ready for the next smart revolution, even if the current homeowner doesn’t see the need. Because needs do change, and the technologies will evolve to meet those needs.
