A well-designed and well-executed LED video wall creates an immersive customer experience like no other. And that one-of-a-kind experience is just what FanDuel was looking for at its new sportsbook in Chicago’s United Center that would blend the excitement of live sports with the thrill of big-time drama and entertainment.
Among the plans for the state-of-the-art facility was a dual-level LED video wall system.
The Draper Foundation Mount was chosen by AV integrator Solutionz as the main structure to support Barco LED cabinets. The Foundation provides a standard, repeatable structure that combines high precision with the pinpoint X, Y, and Z adjustment required to create a perfectly seamless image. However, due to the complexity of the walls Draper had to end up creating a standard-custom hybrid for added stability – plus a second video wall with an inside mitered corner that’s 82.5-degrees.
The Draper team navigated through existing concrete structures, rebar, and intricate electrical conduits. While we utilized the standardized Foundation mount as the LED mounting interface, due to the obstacles we also designed, manufactured and installed a custom floor standing structure as the backbone to which to mount the Foundation. Our custom mounting solutions not only ensured near-perfect alignment and stability but also seamlessly integrated with the architectural aesthetics of the sportsbook lounge.
