Imagine the scene. You’re at work. It’s been a busy day packing window shade orders for delivery. At some point, you look down at your left hand and realize with horror that the engagement ring is missing!
That’s just what happened to Courtney Poindexter, who works in the window shade department at Draper.
What would you do? Search the factory? Call the authorities for a company-wide pat down? Go home and tear your house apart with an increasing sense of dread, wondering what your fiancé is going to say?
In Courtney’s case, when the ring didn’t turn up in her manufacturing cell, she realized it must have somehow gotten packed into an order and been shipped out. The Draper shade department sprang into action, researching orders from Courtney’s area that had shipped during the time in question and contacting those dealers. Window Shade Sales Consultant Jordan Muegge hit paydirt with Ask Amy Home Furnishings in western Ohio. Jessica Zumberger, the daughter of Ask Amy’s owner, and her assistant searched through a just-arrived shipment from Draper and – sure enough – there was the ring!
It turns out Jessica was coming over to Draper to pick up an order, so she volunteered to return the ring in person. The very next day, Courtney and the ring were reunited. Our Hallmark movie had a happy ending.
As a special thank you to Ask Amy, Draper is sponsoring a company lunch in the near future.
