Day 3: Expanding our Low Voltage Universe.
We’re adding low voltage motor options to more shade models! You can now get the Low Voltage motors on bottom up shades!

More good news: You can now couple the following low voltage shade models!
- FlexShade ST30 DC
- Motorized FlexShade 50 DC
- FlexStyle ST30 DC (Draper) (Draper At Home)
Why did we decide to make these upgrades?
- There are typically fewer components required when low voltage motors are part of a smart/automated system.
- Safer and simpler – Low voltage (under 50V) reduces shock and fire risk and is easier to install and maintain.
- No electrician required from power source to shades.
- Complies with ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022-Child Safety Standard.
- For Coupled shades: One operator controls multiple shades with a coupler which means fewer labor hours and low cost of wiring.

- Gabled Bottom-Up FlexShade Recharge
- Bottom-Up FlexShade Battery
- Bottom-Up FlexShade Battery Zigbee
- Bottom-Up FlexShade Recharge
You can also now order Coupled FlexShade Battery, Coupled FlexShade Battery Zigbee, Coupled FlexStyle Battery, and Coupled FlexStyle Battery Zigbee.
What these upgrades mean for you:

- Quiet motorized operation, easy installation without wiring or an electrician, and an integrated rechargeable battery.
- Great for retrofits.
- Compatible with RTS or Recharge components.
- Smart home compatible via Bond Bridge Pro.
- Complies with ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022-Child Safety Standard.
- For Coupled: One operator controls multiple shades. By reducing the number of motors needed, it lowers overall project costs.
When adding battery power to coupled shades, a single motor controls up to 3 shade panels, reducing the number of motors and cutting project costs.

Can’t wait really excited. Can you do up to 25’ with Solar
It depends on the fabric.
That is a wonderful addition.
This is exciting news! I was trying to do a quote online for this system is it not available yet to order online?
They should be available via Draper Online within the next day or two, meanwhile they are available to order in your other typical ways.
I am happy to hear this.
Thanks!
Is the solar panel a part of the cassette fascia? Do you have any closeup photos of it installed?
Russ, the panel is a separate piece, and we do not recommend attaching it to the headbox. You can see a photo of the panel (and the motor) on the ZIP and ZIP XL web pages. https://www.draperinc.com/windowshades/productdetail/549/flexshade-zip-127-with-solar-panel
This is a big deal I think to have your shade adjust itself according to the real time weather. Great addition.
This was a great idea giving a incentive to open your emails. We all get so many that you loose interest to open and read them.
Thanks Joe!
