After leading the Draper Gym Equipment group for the past 26 years, I am leaving my current role of Market Director – Gymnasium Equipment. But while I am stepping away from my Gym Equipment duties, I’m not leaving Draper. I am assuming the position of Director – Product Line Development to lead the efforts of two teams actively working to develop new product lines to the Draper lineup.
Matt Schultz has assumed the role of Gymnasium Equipment Market Manager. Matt has been at Draper since 2004 and has spent the past couple of years working beside me to guide our gym equipment group. He quickly learned about the gym equipment market and products, and I have complete confidence that Draper Gym Equipment and all of you will continue the incredible success for many years to come under Matt’s leadership. (I will still be available to Matt as a resource for the few times input from an old-timer may be needed.)
This message comes with a lot of very mixed emotions. I have spent 36 years in the gym equipment industry – the past 26 leading the Draper Gym Equipment division. With the help of an incredible group of dealers and a great team of employees we have built Draper into the gym equipment market leader. I enjoyed every minute of the journey and had a lot of fun. I take with me good memories of working with all of you along the way. I will miss those times and thank you all for your support.
That being said, I am excited for this new and different challenge and look forward to the opportunity to build something new as my career winds down over the next few years. In fact, I may very well be in touch over the next few years to introduce you to a new product line, so don’t think you have heard the end of me just yet.
