Spiceland lost one of its favorite citizens last Saturday. David Moffitt passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Henry County Hospital.
David was born 52 years ago with Downs Syndrome and a host of physical disabilities. As a child and a young man he endured repeated surgeries, and dealt with more pain than any person should have to face.
Through all his years of adversity David greeted each day, and each person he met, with a smile and never knew a stranger. Once he met you he remembered your name.
David’s passing is Spiceland’s loss.
