Draper supplied some interesting shades for Wells Hall at Michigan State University. The job is doubly interesting because it shows how window shades combine aesthetics and sustainability to contribute to green building design.

The picture at right is from the back cover of our current FlexShade catalog. There are three custom colored green fabrics, giving the building a unique look. But these shades aren’t just green in color. They’re also green in another way.

Below is a link to a virtual tour. During the tour (about two minutes in), the contractor discusses the energy-saving Draper automated shades used on this project. The shades were provided with our Draper Digital Network control system.
