There are just days until CEDIA 2016! The Expo show floor opens Thursday in Dallas, and as many of you are on your way to the show, I wanted to take one more opportunity to remind you to stop by the Draper booth—number 3010. This will be my second CEDIA as Draper’s Residential Market Manager. Last year I had to learn and adapt quickly in the days leading up to the show. This time around, I’ve had a whole year to prepare—and we have some great stuff to show you!
First of all is our newly redesigned Profile fixed screen. If you want a BIG thin bezel frame screen experience, the new Profile is just what you’re looking for. The Profile fixed screen sports a ½ inch thin bezel frame and is available in sizes up to 30 feet wide. That means the Profile provides the industry’s biggest “flat panel look.” The Profile frame also comes with a Zero Edge option. At 30 feet wide that, too, is the biggest in the industry. The redesigned frame is 30% lighter, and optional LED lights frame the Profile with thousands of color possibilities, helping offset the picture and providing some extra flash that’s sure to impress. The Profile is available with all of our Optically Seamless, ISF certified, 8K-ready TecVision formulations, so there’s a Profile solution for any room.
We will also be introducing the custom install world to Draper window shades. We will be showcasing the versatility and depth of our shade offering as we introduce a line of shades focused on the needs of integrators. We’ll be showing off our quiet and flexible Motorized FlexShades—115v, 24V, and battery operated—for both interior and exterior applications. With more than 110 years of knowledge and experience in window shades, we’ll also be talking up something Draper can do and which other manufacturers can only dream of: develop custom solutions to meet new needs in an always evolving environment.
I may be most excited about the “screened in theater” our Exhibit Displays people built especially for the show. The space features a Nocturne outdoor projection screen with 4K ready Contrast Grey XH800E, and a Sim2 SuperCube for viewing pleasure night or day. In addition to Exterior FlexShades to screen out glare and heat, a FlexLouver Rack Arm system is also used to provide comfort and protection from the sun.
We’ll be having fun, too. Visitors to the Draper booth will have a chance to play Project Cars for Playstation 4. A Sony VPL-VW365ES will project the game onto Draper’s Nanoperf TecVision XT1300 White. This TecVision formulation was chosen to add brightness to the image as tradeshow lighting is always less than ideal. The ISF-certified surface will provide the most accurate colors possible, with excellent viewing angles despite the gain increase. Visitors who take up the PS4 controllers will have a chance to win more than just bragging rights. The top 10 performers during the show will be entered in a drawing to win the PS4.
It’s all happening in booth 3010. And whether you’re at the show, or keeping an eye out from home, be sure to follow us on Twitter. Our @DraperAV Twitter handle will include periodic updates about what’s going on in our booth, and with the show in general.
Oh, and if you’re within driving distance, and haven’t yet made up your mind, I say come on over! You can register for free at the show using the code DraperAV16.
I’ll see you Thursday!
