Motorized window shades are a beautiful way to add comfort and style to your favorite place: home. But there are several choices of shade manufacturer out there. How do you decide which one is best for you? Here are some key considerations, and how Draper At Home meets those requirements to be the shade manufacturer you need, and your home deserves!

Reliability
Delivery delays. Parts shortages. Unresponsive manufacturers and service providers. The past couple of years have been especially tough for people looking to complete home upgrades. Parts shortages and shipping problems slammed the brakes on many projects.

While Draper has experienced our own supply issues, our close partnerships with suppliers and resourceful materials experts have kept us in relatively good shape. Throughout the pandemic era we have retained some of the best lead times in the industry to help get your home ready when you need it.

Partnerships
This is a word you’ll hear us use often. It’s such an important word that it is part of our mission statement: “Creating partnerships, designing and manufacturing innovative products with integrity, as we have since 1902.”

We partner with integrators, installers and other professionals to create an amazing experience. We partner with top domestic fabric weavers such as Phifer and Mermet USA to keep fabrics available and ready for shipment. Our Draper At Home shades are powered by Somfy to meet the needs of your smart home. And we partner with you to guarantee a long-lasting and hassle-free shading solution.

Commitment
We aren’t here for a quick sale whatever the circumstances. Our commitment to you is evidenced by our own history.

Draper has been designing and manufacturing custom window shades in our hometown of Spiceland, Indiana, since 1902, and we aren’t going anywhere in the future. In all that time we’ve never had a single employee layoff.

We’re here to provide you the best solution for your space, something that will last as long as you need it, not sell you something you actually don’t need.

Sustainability
As a family-owned and -operated company, family is important to Draper. Why would we want to make and sell something we wouldn’t feel safe having in our own homes, around our loved ones?

Our window shade fabrics are UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for off-gassing, meeting the word’s highest off-gassing standards. We also offer shade fabrics that are recycled and recyclable. Instead of paint we use powder coat finishes. Powder coating is free from Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP).

We have drastically reduced scrap thanks to continuous improvement, plus we recycle and reuse everything we can.

There are other advantages we could list, including our dedicated quality department, numerous product awards, or the dedication and loyalty of our employees and industry partners. But, as they say, seeing is believing. So click here to visit our Draper At Home web page and take a look at what we have to offer. Then, contact your Draper representative and connect with the Draper experience in person!
